Writing Prompt #8: Fools and Flaws

This month's prompt was inspired by a song... and some foolishness.

This month's prompt is about writing flawed characters. It's about offering your characters moments of failure or mistakes or occasions of acting foolishly, which you may then use to create dramatic story possibilities. In other words, this prompt is about making our characters more human.

This prompt can also easily adapt into nonfiction, if you want to use it for a piece of personal writing or memoir.

If you'd like to skip the preamble and get straight to writing, scroll down to the image that says Writing Prompt #8: FOOLS AND FLAWS.

If you want to hear where this prompt about fools on April Fools' Day (honestly, a day I loathe) came from, read on.
